Elect Lady Tonya Ringer was born in Washington, DC and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She is the only child of Edward Brown (deceased) and Sharon Arnold. Lady Ringer was educated in the Dayton Public Schools system. She was a member of the Honor Society and graduated 6th in her class from Belmont High School in 1988. Lady Ringer went on to attend Miami University (Oxford, OH) where she majored in accounting. At Miami University, Lady Ringer was enrolled in the Honors Program, participated with the Speaker’s Forum, involved with the Miami University Gospel Singers (affectionately known as M.U.G.S.) and actively engaged with the College Democrats. After successfully completing two years at Miami University, Lady Ringer decided to leave to marry the love of her life, Bishop Kevin Ringer. Bishop and Lady Ringer were married June 16, 1990. To this union were born four sons. Lady Ringer is now not just a mother of four sons but the grandmother of seven girls, one boy and another on the way. Lady Ringer was baptized in Jesus' name February 26, 1989 and filled with the Holy Ghost, June 4, 1989. She has not only been diligent as a wife and mother, but also has worked beside her husband in ministry since he was first called to pastor in 1991. Lady Ringer was also called to the ministry in 1995 and has served as Altar Workers’ director, Christian Education Superintendent, Women’s Director and Prayer Director.
In 2009, Lady Ringer decided to complete what she started nearly twenty years prior. Just as her firstborn son was beginning his college career, Lady Ringer, too, decided to complete her educational pursuit. At thirty-nine years old she enrolled at Antioch University Midwest located in Yellow Springs, Ohio and by July 2011 Lady Ringer had earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development. God continues to do great things in Lady Ringer’s life. In addition to her role as pastor’s wife at The House of Restoration (Cleveland, OH), she also fulfills the same role at Faith Temple Pentecostal Church of God (Dayton, OH) and on May 21, 2022 became First Lady of United Sharon Pentecostal Churches of God, Incorporated. Lady Ringer loves to serve the people of God alongside her Pastor and husband, Bishop Kevin Ringer, I.
After years of working to overcome a tumultuous childhood, low self-esteem, heartbreak and a major illness, in 2017 Lady Ringer adopted the mantra: Be Blessed on Purpose. She has come to understand that in order to maintain a positive outlook on life and the right relationship with God, one must be intentional in thought, word and action.
